I’d like to thank Transporter Jane who made a three hour round trip to the Sutherland Shire Animal Shelter to pick up little “Hunky Dory” for PFT. Without valuable help such as this, the cogs on the wheel would fall off. Please join me in thanking Transporter Jane and the dear girls at Sutherland Shire Animal Shelter for all their assistance with “Hunky Dory”.
Sutherland Shire Animal Shelter called on us again to see if we had space for another old dog. They got him ready for us with transport, microchipping and a bath. On top of that, a pound volunteer took him home with her, so that he didn’t have to spend another night in a pen. He was delivered straight to my vet for a check-up.
The nicest thing about working alongside some good pounds is that they genuinely care about the animals in their care. Everyone has to work together in order to achieve an end result. I’d like to thank the Shelter Manager at Sutherland Shire Animal Shelter for her part in all this. Because of her, her staff and volunteers, “Hunky Dory” is now snuggled up in a soft basket awaiting his new life in his forever home.
And that’s ultimately what we want for our senior pound Crusty’s.
